Pamela Dawn Villines Estes, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 30th, 2012 at her home after her fight against Cancer.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at Faith Assembly of God Church at 2:00 p.m. with Craig Villines, Arlis Thrasher, and Nick Hartness officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Compton. Pallbearers will be her son, Wyatt Estes; Nephews, Matt Rodden, Seth Villines, Jeremy Grigg, Jacob Grigg, and close friend, Jackie Mathis. Honorary Pallbearers include: The entire faculty and staff at Harrison High School. Pam was born in Harrison, Arkansas October 3, 1962, to Hillard and Earline Villines.
Pam was a devoted Math teacher at Harrison High School and she received her Bachelor in Secondary Education in 1986 from the University of Arkansas and her Masters in Education at St. Louis University in 2010. Pam taught for 26 years in various schools in the area, including Omaha and Kingston, until taking a position teaching Math in 2006 at Harrison High School where she taught until this year. Pam touched many students teaching the importance of work ethic, not only as a teacher, but as a past basketball and softball coach.
She loved to spend time with her family and friends playing Gospel music. As a faithful Christian, Pam has been a youth leader, AWANA leader, and Sunday school teacher. She attended Crossroads Church in Compton, Ark. She was an avid outdoor adventurer and enjoyed fishing and loved hiking through many of the National Parks . She was able to spend summers traveling to almost every state ,as well as several countries. Pam also loved to work on her home in her spare time and sit down on Sundays after church and watch the Dallas Cowboys play.
Pam is survived by her husband, Allen, her son Wyatt and his wife Jessica, and her daughter Krista; her parents, Hillard and Earline Villines; her brother, Steve and his wife Jeanine Villines; and her sister, Janice and her husband Shane Wallis; her nieces and nephews; Tiffany and her husband Matt Rodden and their children Mattie and Tate; Seth and his wife Sarah Villines; Jeremy Grigg, Jacob Grigg, and Jordan Wallis; extended family includes: Brenda Mathis, Laura Berry, and Tammy Stahler, all close friends of the family.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Scholarship Fund is set up at Community First Bank.
